Self Directed Program Services

Abilities of Northwest Jersey Inc. is approved by the Division of Developmental Disabilities to provide Self Directed Program Service.

These services are designed to:

• Empower families by providing an array of services.

• Promote decision-making by the individual with developmental disabilities and their family.

• Assist in developing creative solutions to achieve desired outcomes.

• Provide support and instruction an individual may wish to acquire, retain, or improve related to integration, productivity, and independence away from the home.

• Provide opportunities for activities and socialization.

• Personalized or group learning activities that match the individual's goal and interests.

• Help an individual to choose a type of work, get a job, and learn the tasks related to a job in an integrated setting.

• Offers support of a job coach and placement assistance that provides interventions that will assist in maintaining employment.
